All in God's Perfect Plan
“You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your Book!” Psalm 139:16 (LB)

At first, as a mother, I replayed everything over and over in my mind to determine what I could have done to cause Keenan to be born without his left hand. However, now, with God's help, my husband and I have a very positive outlook about Keenan's life, and we would not change his arm even if we could!!! This might seem very strange to you, but read on and we’ll try to explain.......
In our search for answers, we asked God to reveal to us what his plan was for this situation. God spoke to us through scripture and other sources. John, chapter 9, really helped. The two words that stand out are "SO THAT." Jesus responded, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened SO THAT the work of God might be displayed in his life." These two words relay a message of intention. It was intended for this man to be blind. In Exodus 4, when Moses was trying to explain to God that he wasn't capable of speaking to Pharaoh and the officials because he was "slow of speech and tongue," the LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?"
This tells us that God sometimes makes our physical appearance a little different on purpose! If Keenan had both hands, he would be more than God wanted him to be.
